“Being from a big city where I felt overlooked and almost undervalued, LIM helped me not only find my voice but enhance it. The scholarships have meant the world to me. I found myself needing more support financially to continue on and transition my career from dream into reality...I knew [LIM] was the right place that would handle me and my aspirations with care. Taking some financial stress off my family was an accomplishment in itself knowing I could attend classes with one less obligation to worry about.”

“I applied for this scholarship because I feel that I'm doing my part of being the best student I can in order to contribute to all the sacrifices my parents have made for me...Receiving these scholarships is a huge honor as it shows that my hard work pays off and by staying dedicated and true to myself, others were able to see that and it's truly a rewarding feeling.“

“Receiving a scholarship meant I could dream bigger...I decided to apply for a scholarship program to help alleviate the financial costs associated with my education. Apart from the financial relief, being a scholarship recipient represents my hard work and determination.“

“My degree changed my life trajectory and gave me opportunities I otherwise never would have had.”

Awarded in 1954, Barbara says the scholarship opened doors she never would have dreamed of. Barbara was able to leave her home town, earn a degree and build a career in art and merchandising. Barbara supports LIM FEF scholarship fund and has pledged a planned gift to LIM FEF.
